Home recordings intended to demonstrate the song rather than be a definitive performance. That may come later.
[Update: these two songs on the ‘Songs without Music‘ page now also have demo recordings attached:
They will probably be moved here when I get around to it.]

Bootup Blues
Words and music (such as it is) by David Harley – Copyright 1998, all rights reserved.
I woke up this morning
And my laptop wouldn’t boot at all
I said I woke up this morning
And tossed my Tosh against the wall
My baby’s run off with the mains adapter
And the battery’s screwed beyond recall
Well she left me for some guy
With a 99GHz over-clocked PC
And now she’s interfacing
With his RS232C (he’s a serial womanizer)
She said my hard disk was too small
To satisfy… her new spreadsheet
I wouldn’t treat an Android*
The way that woman treated me
She fragmented my hard disk
And ran off with my Angry Birds DVD
Left me nothing but this boot sector virus
And a copy of WordStar version 3.3
Dah-dah-dah, dah-dah-dah, dah-dah, dah-dah
A somewhat geeky pseudo-blues. The specification of the hardware has changed over the years, but I think this is the final upgrade. I’ll probably re-record it though.
* iPad works too, but I like iPads. ;-)
