Peter Buckley-Hill

Peter and I never actually played together in public, that I remember, nor did we write any songs together, but I did play an awful lot of guitar – sorry, that should read ‘lot of awful guitar’ on his album Tubular Brains from 1983, recorded at Centre Sound. Actually, there are bits of guitar there I rather like – I’m almost tempted to record an instrumental version of ‘Love At First Sight’. And some very amusing songs, in a very different vein to most of mine. Though in Peter’s own words: “We finished the mix early in the morning of Thatcher’s second victory. Compared to that disaster, Tubular Brains wasn’t that bad. Compared to music, however, it probably is.” If you feel the need to decide for yourself, the entire album is on SoundCloud.
